Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan

Rotary eClub Tiraba Cosmopolitan was initiated based on the idea/directive given by Rotary International President Representative for Albania & Kosovo, Mr. Radu POPESCU, aiming to create a new Distict between two sibling countries.

The foundation of Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan is accomplished by Mr. Ndrec LLUSKU, who has been a Rotarian since 2018, as he was also a founding member of the Rotary Club of Tirana International.

He conceived the idea of forming a new Club as a vehicle to introduce his friends, his network, and friends of the friends, and/or Albanian diaspora, to do good and also to enhance the membership experience in the newly to be created District. He felt organizing a new Club was the best way to increase the District's membership. He soon found that there are many of his friends and acquaintances who are ready and willing to engage in doing good but are not able to attend regular daytime meetings of a Rotary Club. So he decided to explore the flexibility of online meetings coupled with the new relaxed attendance requirements for Rotary Clubs. Not surprisingly, the response was very positive. 

Since all of these new potential member Rotarians had little knowledge of Rotary, Ndrec set out to "educate" them about Rotary being very mindful not to overload them. He discussed the by-laws and adapted the RI standard constitution and got the members to agree on a slate of Officers for the new Club.  

Rotary E-Club of Tirana Cosmopolitan is officilally chartered on 24 March 2022, by the decision of Rotary International President ('21/'22)  Mr. Shekhar Mhekhta.

The officers of Rotary eClub Tirana Cosmopolitan represent the local and/or international aspects of Rotary for our country/region.  

The challenge of many different time zones, including date differences, do not deter these dedicated Rotarians from using technology to communicate, collaborate and provide the unique leadership necessary to manage a world wide internet Rotary club.
